“Knowing that the serpent had become harmless, throngs of people started arriving from nearby villages. They worshipped the serpent-god. They worshipped him by offering milk and sweets. But the serpent was lying still, keeping its hood in the hole, in meditation without even a trace of movement. Swarms of ants were attracted by the sweets. They stared stinging the serpent. But the serpent tolerated these afflictions with equanimity. It silently took the last vow. The snake’s body became almost perforated, but it did not react at all. After 15 days, the snake died and was reborn as a god in the Sahasrar dimension.” Wow! Sitting next to an enlightened Saint, borrowed also His blessing. But it’s not only the Saint can bless you, you also must be good. The serpent had become good and purified himself by his sincere repentance and endurance of the suffering to repay all the karma that he made, the bad karma. So, he was reborn as a god.
