Being vegan worldwide is the advancement of compassion that will uplift and unify all cultures, bringing tranquility to humans and animal-people alike. The inner peace that comes from replacing killing with respect for all life will spread like a wave across the globe, elevate human hearts, and create a harmonious Eden on Earth. That will bring us all to a lasting Golden Era.

Vegans come from all walks of life. How do meat and dairy farmers proceed with the growing vegan movement? The following examples tell us that their future is filled with hope. Together, these farmers fulfill a shared desire to let their precious farm animal-people live, start life anew, and be true to themselves.

Jennifer and Rodney Barrett, former poultry-people and cattle-people farmers in rural Arkansas, USA, are now a vegan couple happily growing mushrooms and hemp for the expanding vegan industry. The Barrett family started their career as chicken-people and cattle-people ranchers in the 1990s with the good faith of contributing to society with honest work until they faced severe health issues. Looking for ways to improve their health, they tried a three-week vegan program in 2016. The remarkable results made them want to stay vegan for the rest of their lives.

In September 2018, Jennifer and Rodney decided to cancel their contract with the company for whom they raise chicken-people and to stop breeding and selling cattle-people. “This brought us to this point with the Rowdy Girl Sanctuary trying to get some help to feed some cows, to take care of our land, and change our farm to growing plant-based in the vegan industry, where we know that everything is going to be completely and totally organic and healthy, to the point of no animal inputs. And we can be part of the solution and a role model of a pilot program to show everybody that things can be done.”
