In today’s news, India gifts funds to Cambodia for equipment to remove mines, researchers in United Kingdom improve early warnings about intense storms, German scientists use lignin from trees to advance 3D printing, United Arab Emirates prepares to build world’s largest solar project, equestrians in China rescue boy, analysts commend meat substitutes in Australia and New Zealand, and endurance athlete in United States runs to benefit rescued dogs.

Cambodia and India cooperate on extracting mines.

The Indian government, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient, has given US$1.5 million to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) for the purchase of demining equipment. This is in fulfillment of the two countries’ enhanced partnership in recent years. When India’s defense minister visited Cambodia in 2018, agreements were reached to cooperate in several areas, including United Nations peacekeeping operations, exchange of experts, training of personnel and assistance with mine removal. Additionally, India provided RCAF with more than a dozen mine-detection dogs several years ago and is now considering sending more. We are grateful, India, for your friendly foreign policy and commitment to the big picture of peace on Earth. May your nobility facilitate the planet’s salvation and elevation, in Divine mercy.

Meteorologists learn to better predict West African weather.

Large and destructive storms have been occurring more frequently due to global warming. In summer 2020, thousands of people in Burkina Faso and Nigeria were displaced when flash flooding damaged their homes. Until now, the way these weather systems move was not understood. But researchers at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology in England have discovered some patterns by analyzing satellite data. Specifically, when thunderstorms pass over dry ground, their intensity increases. Conversely, tempests often lose strength while passing over land that has more moisture. This new knowledge will enable the development of software to forecast a storm’s most likely route and alert affected communities across Africa. Our compliments and gratitude, UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology! May your diligent work lead to a new emergency notification network that will reduce suffering and save many lives, in the grace of the Providence.

Up next, German scientists use lignin from trees to advance 3D printing. We’ll take a moment to thank the physiatrists, who prescribe physical therapy and other remedies to treat medical issues and disabling conditions, thus helping patients to resume functional and satisfying lives. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more meaningful news.

Good day, compassionate friends! I’m Alison the vegan Andean Cat. Why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary! Embody compassion and adopt the vegan lifestyle. In case you’ve arrived at the golden years of adulthood, here are some tips that will reduce your chances of falling down in the bedroom. Adjust your bedspreads and drapes so that they don’t touch the floor; otherwise, your feet can become entangled. When choosing a mattress, measure the distance from its top to the floor. For safety’s sake, it should be between 51 and 58 centimeters – not too low or too high. Before getting out of bed, first, sit on the edge with both feet on the floor. See if you are feeling dizzy at all. Finally, all electrical cords should be neatly tucked behind furniture, and you may want to install a nightlight in case you need to get up in the dark. Thank you for your attention and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

Scientists develop wood-enhanced synthetic construction material.

Lignin is a component of plant cells that strengthens stems and branches. It is also a byproduct of papermaking that is commonly burned as scrap. A research project initiated by the Sustainability Center Freiburg and the Fraunhofer Society in Germany has produced a biodegradable 3D printing material that may possibly be used for lightweight construction. The investigative team found that pure lignin from beech trees can be transformed into a viscous bioplastic that solidifies quickly. Subsequent studies will determine whether the same result can be achieved using lignin discarded by the paper industry. Congratulations, German scientists, for creating another link in the chain of our future circular economy. May humanity change its mindset to view waste as a design flaw and make wiser use of finite resources, in Heaven’s blessings.

Photovoltaic modules in Abu Dhabi will provide abundant, inexpensive electricity.

About 35 kilometers south of the United Arab Emirates’ capital city lies a region called Al Dhafra. This is where preparations are being made to build the world’s largest solar power plant. The project is owned by a consortium that includes Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, Masdar Clean Energy, EDF Renewables and JinkoSolar. Construction is expected to begin in late 2020 and will take an estimated two years. Once completed, the facility will have the capacity to generate two gigawatts of electricity - enough to power 160,000 homes and reduce the country’s carbon emissions by more than 2.4 million metric tons a year. We praise your wise leadership, United Arab Emirates! May governments around the globe follow suit and make more sustainable investments, in the light of Allah.

Noble animals brave danger to save drowning child.

Three equestrians from a local riding club in Jinjiang, China, were trotting along the beach when they heard a woman crying for help. Her son had been swept away by the undertow and was drifting farther from shore. Without hesitation, the men and the horses rode into the sea and within 20 minutes the boy was reunited with his mother. However, a week later, two of the horses had fevers and their breathing had become labored. But the equines did not improve even after receiving veterinary care. The quantity of seawater they had inhaled seriously infected their lungs and they succumbed shortly after. Heaven bless you, selfless friends of humanity! May your illustrious souls bask in blissful love and gratitude forever. Our Master shed tears reading this news and prays for the horses.

Coming up, analysts commend meat substitutes in Australia and New Zealand. We will take some time to imagine Earth becoming a vegan world. Humans will understand and respect the animal kingdom, the planet’s climate will stabilize and nature will heal itself. More wonderful news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television.

Think tank confirms nutritional value of plant-based meats.

Food Frontier is a nonprofit expert advisor on animal protein alternatives in Australia and New Zealand. In August 2020, the organization published their research on the beneficial impacts of meat substitutes. What makes the report significant is that the main driver of people going vegan is the desire for good health. The analysts found that even though meat analogues are processed foods, they offer the same or improved nutrients compared with conventional meat. More importantly, these imitation meats eliminate the many risks associated with eating animals. Of the products tested, Sunfed’s Chicken Free Chicken and Fable Food’s Plant-Based Braised Beef were highlighted for their superior ingredients. Well done, Food Frontier! May your valuable insights into the safest and most nutritious protein options motivate people to upgrade their diets, in nurturing Celestial light.

Long-distance runner raises money for nonprofit group.

Adopt A Boxer Rescue is a charity in the US that specializes in saving unwanted boxer dogs and finding homes for them. In 2018, the Pekoff family of Bellmore, New York, fostered a dog named Lucas for the organization and later decided to adopt him. Alexander Pekoff felt he owed the charity something for the joy of having Lucas in his life. Since Alexander is an endurance athlete, he decided to do a fundraising run from Niagara Falls to Montauk Point. The 909-kilometer journey took him two weeks and raised more than US$16,000 for Adopt A Boxer Rescue. Mr. Pekoff commented, “I’m so glad I could do this for them, and it’s going to help so many dogs in the future.” Bravo, Alexander Pekoff, for your impressive expression of gratitude. May we cherish all of our animal co-inhabitants, in Divine upliftment.

We all enjoy laughing, so let’s go now to our joke of the day called, “A Smart Kid.”

Little Timmy went grocery shopping with his mother. Timmy got distracted in the vegan candy aisle, and when he finally turned around, his mother was out of sight. He started walking around the store, calling to her.

“Martha! Martha!”

A short time later, Timmy's mother rushed up to him and gave him a hug.

“Why were you calling out my name, darling? I am your mother!”

“But there are lots of mothers in the store. Chances are you’re the only Martha!”

And now we have a heartline from Michel in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Dear Master and Supreme Master TV team, We have a vegan restaurant in Taipei and after Master announced we would start to pray for World Vegan, I mentioned it to our staff members in the next meeting. I was very happy to see everyone join, even one staff member who is not vegan yet. She sat very quietly for the entire time. I was very touched, because we already finished working, and she could have just gone home instead. But she chose to stay and pray with us. Yesterday was her day off, and today she told me that she promises she will try her very best to be vegan. She said that on her day off yesterday, she saw a truck loaded with pigs and suddenly realized their fate. She felt deeply sorry for them, and she was very sad. She said she saw pigs on trucks many times before but never felt anything. But this time, she felt very sad seeing them on the truck, all cramped up, driving to their final destination. She even took a photo to show me: I know that this is because of Master's immense blessings for arranging this World Vegan prayer for us. The Blessing is really very strong, and I am seeing the effects immediately. Her eyes have started to really open after the prayer. She herself said she never saw anything wrong with eating animals before, but now, she knows it’s very wrong. I hope everyone will join in the World Vegan prayer; we will all be praying again this Sunday, nonstop until the world is Vegan. Thank You for Your hard work, Master, and not giving up on humans. All of us here love You very much! Michel from Taiwan (Formosa)

Devoted Michel, Thank you for sharing your encouraging story. We wish that all human beings who are not yet aware of the desperate state of the innumerable animals trapped in factory farms now know the facts and become vegan too. We join you in praying for World Vegan to rescue our world and ask that the Heavens, Saints, and God Power will continue to grace our prayers with Their energy so that elevating change comes as soon as possible. We deeply thank God for the gift of a living Master on our planet, beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai.  May you and the pleasant Taiwanese (Formosan) people be blessed with robust health and tranquility. In Buddha’s love and blessings, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master also said: “Effervescent Michel, thank you for writing regarding praying for World Vegan with others in your life. Once firmly understanding the horrors faced by animals exploited for food, many more will choose the saintly path of the plant-based lifestyle. Much love to you, your loving staff and the serene people of Taiwan (Formosa).”
