“I was a speaker in the congress here in Dubai. And I’m very much impressed about the lunch, which we now can enjoy, with this vegan lunch. My plate is full of excellent food. And I’m appreciating all of those different tastes. And it’s an expression of, first of all, the diversity, but also the richness of food, which is made from just vegetarian or vegan sources, even without egg and other products from animals. So, I’m very much appreciating it. The taste is marvelous.”

“(Supreme Master Ching Hai is a world-renowned humanitarian and a spiritual leader. She advocates the plant-based diet, climate change being an urgent issue right now, and the plant-based diet being a solution to global warming. Could you please share with us your thoughts on Supreme Master Ching Hai and Her message?) Definitely She’s a leader in that aspect, and since She encourages to have more vegetables and to increase the vegetable intakes. That’s itself is a tremendous message to be giving, so I share with Her that people should have more vegetables in their food. They should take the servings from five to ten per day, because vegetables have the excellent micronutrients which protect our bodies from diseases. They defend us from diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular, so we have to eat more vegetables.”

“(Tell us a little bit more about the fruitarian diet and its benefits.) When I went into the vegetarian diet, my energy level and my mental clarity took a jump. When I went into this fruitarian diet, it took another jump, a much bigger jump. It improved my mental performance, my physical performance too. Of course, the body needs to adjust itself a little bit at first.”

“I think people are really too complacent to recognize the changes. I think we are seeing the effects of climate change. You see the flooding in so many countries, the extreme weather conditions in so many countries. We need to reflect, I think we all need to reflect, take this opportunity and see the bigger picture, not just about our personal survival. We need to look at our collective survival as human species, because we need to act together.”
