What is the value of family and what is the real meaning of compassion? Ms. Caroline Luk Yin Wan will sing for us with a beautiful voice, a Chinese song, “Song of Familial Bliss” by the famous Chinese composer Huang Zi, glorifying the nobility of family and universal love. Following that, she will sing “Mattinata” by Ruggero Leoncavallo.

“My name is Luk, Yin Wan. I’m a soprano. (Do you feel attending this conference is helpful?) It helps, actually. We feel it’s good to eat vegetarian. As singers, if we eat too much meat, our voices seem to feel somewhat unclean.”

“I’ve been in Hong Kong for 30 years, and I’ve [been] vegetarian most years of my life. And I feel really great, and I feel the inner power coming from vegetarianism. I feel the whole world should turn vegetarian because I feel killing is not good. And when we eat those killed animals, we make our stomach a graveyard, which is supposed to be a temple and not a graveyard. I feel Supreme Master Ching Hai is doing a very good thing by making everybody vegetarian. I truly support Her, and I hope the whole world turns vegetarian.”

“One day, I hope the whole world is vegetarian. Especially some cultures, they eat all kinds of animals. They are so harmful for our body. So being vegetarian is the best thing, best thing and the healthiest thing in the world.”

“(How do you feel about Supreme Master Ching Hai?) I think She’s truly great. Because of Her Benevolence and Greatness, She’s my role model. Her loving kindness for animals, for the planet, and for all living beings on Earth, is something we can learn from.”
