Today, we will learn about the later part of Sunyogi’s search for enlightenment and his vision for creating a global community of peace, unity and brotherhood. “After 12 years, when I went to the Himalayas for my two-year retreat, where I got the vision of Mahavatar Babaji. There I got the idea that there are so many higher states are waiting. When I was not eating, I was blocked. And then I felt (that) I have to come (back to) a normal life (again). Only then could normal people understand. So, I started eating after 12 years (of not eating). At the beginning I was thinking, ‘If I eat, my spiritual journey will go down.’ But I was shocked. When I was limited to a small amount of eating, my spiritual growth was very high and much higher.” Sunyogi spent the next two years in a deep meditation retreat in the Himalayas. There, Mahavatar Babaji’s immortal body imparted enlightenment and the full Sunyoga Method to him. Mahavatar Babaji also gave him the solution to a brighter future for humanity. “I am so happy, His blessings are with us. And He has given that idea to start the Self-Dependent Global Family Home University, to protect humanity. We needed at least 300 acres of land; 100-acres of land has to be a protected environment (for the) forest and for animals, and then 100-acres of land we need for organic cultivation and cultivation of the ecosystem. Then another 100-acres of land for modern education system and ancient education system, combined with Global Health Home. All the natural resources and all the (natural) therapies, such as Allopathic, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy, Sun Yoga, all these therapies will be together there.” In 1998, Sunyogi Umasankar founded the Universal Peace Center to bring Sunyoga to the general population, as a tool for promoting universal peace, unity and brotherhood. The center’s mission is to build the Self-Dependent and Sustainable Global Family Home University. It is a wholesome and ideal community of spirituality, sustainability, healthy living, education and people helping one another as fellow brethren.
