Today, I’d like to offer a health tip. Your sleeping position matters because proper sleeping postures markedly relieve back pain and improve rest. Medical professionals recommend you sleep in certain positions to maintain spinal alignment. If you sleep on your side, set a pillow between your knees to decrease hip strain and maintain a neutral spinal position. If you lay on your back while you sleep, keep a pillow under your knees to distribute weight evenly and maintain the natural curvature of the lower back. It is not recommended to sleep on your belly, but if you do, place a thin pillow beneath your pelvis to reduce lower back arching if needed. These simple modifications not only stabilize the musculoskeletal system, but also promote long-term spinal health for those who suffer from chronic pain.
