“(…Right then, the inner Master appeared and turned into Chuang Tzu, instructing me on how to meditate on the [inner Heavenly] Sound more deeply, and told me, ‘Master is Chuang Tzu.’)”

“The Scripture of the Transformations of Master Lao Tzu” is an early Taoist classic that contains the divine revelation of Master Lao Tzu (vegan), revealing His transcendental origin, His incarnations as a Master and Teacher to elevate souls, and His appearance during the End Times to save the world. As we shared in the previous episode, Lao Tzu reveals in this scripture that each of His many incarnations in this world has had the singular purpose of helping all beings develop and complete their spiritual destinies toward the goal of enlightenment. “Lao Tzu says: ‘I roam to purify, I work to enlighten, and I govern to complete. I transform and change my body and appearance, renew life by means of death, and roam over the world…’”

Today, we introduce you to one of the most famous successors of Lao Tzu (vegan). He is a primary contributor to Taoism, the great 4th century BC Taoist Saint, Master Chuang Tzu (vegetarian). This enlightened Master was considered one of the greatest literary and philosophical figures of China. His teachings were true to the Taoist doctrine of “Wu-Wei,” which means to refrain from actions contrary to Nature. The book “Chuang Tzu” is a renowned volume of His philosophy and teachings.

As we have witnessed multiple times during this and other shows in the Ancient Predictions series, Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) is the incarnation of the Eternal Tao or Ultimate God in the present day. She has been present throughout all times of Earth’s human history, life after life, descending to the world in the guise of Taoist Practitioners, spiritual Masters, sage Kings, and humble yet wise Advisors. Her appearance each time as God incarnate helps purify the world’s karma and encourages all beings to develop soulfully in the direction of their spiritual destiny.

Now, we will discover a little of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s affinity with Chuang Tzu. To begin, we share the following inner experience of our Chinese Association member who spent many years studying Chuang Tzu’s work before finding Master.

“(I have enjoyed reading Chuang Tzu’s book, ‘Chuang Tzu,’ since I was young, and couldn’t count how many times I have read it. In 1999, before I was initiated, one day I got a copy of Master’s ‘The Key of Immediate Enlightenment’ by chance. I revered the book as a priceless treasure and finished reading it without stopping. The book struck a very strong chord in me!

Thereafter, I habitually picked up ‘Chuang Tzu’ to read again. That night I meditated in my own way. Suddenly, I saw Chuang Tzu appear in my inner vision. Soon after, Chuang Tzu’s face transformed into the visage of Supreme Master Ching Hai on the cover of ‘The Key of Immediate Enlightenment’ booklet, which was a clear reminder to me that Supreme Master Ching Hai is indeed the compassionate reincarnation of Chuang Tzu!

Without delay, I sought initiation. One day after initiation, I read ‘Chuang Tzu’ again, and I particularly searched the profound chapter about the ‘Quan Yin Method.’ Right then, the inner Master appeared and turned into Chuang Tzu, instructing me on how to meditate on the [inner Heavenly] Sound more deeply, and told me, ‘Master is Chuang Tzu.’

The temperament of the inner Chuang Tzu is quite humorous, just like Supreme Master Ching Hai in Her physical form. When teaching me, His words were so lively and fascinating.

Life after life, Master has come in various identities to form affinity with all beings and to manifest according to their needs! What a marvelous ingenuity! That’s truly amazing!)”

Did Master Chuang Tzu practice the inner Heavenly Light and Sound method? In a 1993 public lecture in Taipei’s Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, Supreme Master Ching Hai shared Her insights about this ancient Taoist practitioner.

“Over the past few days I have been reading up on the literature of Taoism, like those of Chuang- Tzu (vegetarian) and Confucius (vegetarian). I used to read them when I was young, but now I feel different. They also mentioned the inner Light and Sound. The Quan Yin Method is not new. Since ancient times, there have been Masters and practitioners of the Quan Yin Method all over the world. Chuang Tzu said, ‘When one practices very diligently, the Light from God or Heaven will appear. Anyone who has this Light, who can see this Light, is seeing their True Self. Anyone who cultivates inwardly, cultivates the true Nature, will attain the highest power. When someone obtains the highest inner power, their human qualities will leave them and the Heavenly qualities will descend upon them and help them, replacing the human qualities.’

Although deeply philosophical, Master Chuang Tzu’s teachings are also humorous. They contain lighthearted, comical parables that convey profound meaning through short, poignant conversations, often gently adversarial in nature. The most famous of Chuang Tzu’s musings is perhaps the much-quoted dream of the butterfly, from the second chapter, “On the Equality of Things.”

“…Once, Chuang Tzu dreamed he was a butterfly flitting and fluttering about, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn't know that he was Chuang Tzu.” “Suddenly he woke up and there he was, solid and unmistakable Chuang Tzu. But he didn't know if he was Chuang Tzu who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that he was Chuang Tzu. Between Chuang Tzu and the butterfly there must be some distinction! This is called the Transformation of Things….”

Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has often mentioned the depth of Master Chuang Tzu’s teachings. In the following excerpt, She explains the meaning of His seemingly paradoxical butterfly tale.

It’s just like Chuang Tzu who dreamed one day that he turned into a butterfly, right? Then after he woke up, he didn’t know if he became a butterfly in his dream or the butterfly became Chuang Tzu in its dream because at that time everything was one with the universe and there was no need to make such clear distinctions. The Western Paradise is the same as this world and this world is the same as the Pure Land. But this doesn’t mean we don’t know where the physical realm is, or we don’t know where the Pure Land is. We know these things naturally.”

Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has further given tribute to the transformative quality of Master Chuang Tzu’s wisdom tribute in Her poetry book titled “Dream of a Butterfly,” as well as the S.M. Celestial Jewelry that comprises “Tzoang Tzu's Dream.” With this mesmerizing collection, Supreme Master Ching Hai has masterfully reflected Chuang Tzu’s wise introspection through the creation of a glorious butterfly with various light-reflecting gems that symbolize the metamorphosis of the spirit to its uplifted, resplendent brilliance. “Tzoang Tzu's Dream” thus calls out to all those who have affinity with Master Chuang Tzu and the Taoist teachings to return Home.

The amazing clarity and exceptional ability of the fully enlightened Master to awaken souls never ceases to amaze us. Of all the qualities of the past Saints and Masters, our most sublime Supreme Master Ching Hai, (vegan) encompasses every element of Divine potency put to use by past enlightened Ones. From humorous and entertaining anecdotes akin to Chuang Tzu, to powerful speeches and graceful rhetoric that reaches today’s leaders in every arena, Supreme Master Ching Hai speaks with eloquence and the blessings of all Heavens to help souls return to their eternal Home.
